MIBTC AT the DESIGN CENTER OF THE AMERICAS (DCOTA)
|
As the region’s pre-eminent design destination,
DCOTA’s luxury showrooms offer a world-class treasure trove of fine furnishings and numerous luxury trade products in a new and contemporary environment, displayed and exhibited for purchase by the trade/design community, clients, design enthusiasts and other clientele. DCOTA will be working closely with the Made in Britain Trade Centre (MIBTC) to welcome and include premier British brands. DCOTA will house the Made In Britain Trade Centre, which will benefit from the first-class luxury services. Numerous luxury markets are held throughout the year to highlight the luxury goods sector and those companies which are well known for their quality products. |
Working with DCOTA allows the MIBTC to highlight new companies and products from the United Kingdom which are in demand in the United States of America. By showcasing British brands in DCOTA within a luxury showroom and via trade shows with the MIBTC, these brands will obtain maximum exposure to purchasers, clients and buyers not only from the USA, but from Latin America and the Caribbean who frequent Florida's popular trade
destination.
Each atrium, including the recently completed C Atrium, offers a perfect location for the MIBTC to host additional events such as fashion shows, Made in Britain Food and Beverage fairs and other fine British events with very popular British brands and themes.
DCOTA has allocated MIBTC an expansive showroom space on the ground floor which offers a direct view to passing clients and trade shoppers.
To accommodate travelling visitors, accommodation is available at the Le Méridien Hotel next to the DCOTA. The Méridien features 245 contemporary guest rooms including 14 suites, 20,000 square feet of state-of-the-art flexible meeting space and two redesigned restaurants.
British companies such as Designers Guild, Holland & Sherry, Matthew Williamson, Nina Campbell, Osborne & Little, William Yeoward, Lefroy Brooks and Christopher Guy, are already located here as well as world famous luxury brands from other countries, such as Versace Home, Roberto Cavalli, Ralph Lauren Home, Armani/Casa Exclusive Textiles, Royal Botania, Oscar de la Renta, Carelton V, Pierre Frey, DEDON, Donghia, Florense,
Poggenpohl, Janus et Cie, ROMO and David Sutherland, among others.
DCOTA is easily accessible by land, air or sea, conveniently located in the very heart of South Florida, which is an international travel hub for business and trade across the USA, Latin America and the Caribbean. DCOTA is immediately south of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, which is three miles (5 km) southwest of downtown Fort Lauderdale and only 21 miles (34 km) north of Miami, one of the fastest growing airports in America and one of the world's 50 busiest airports acting as a "major hub" facility serving commercial air
traffic to all major Cities in the USA, Latin America and the Caribbean.
DCOTA is also less than 6 miles from the Port Everglades, Florida’s “powerhouse port” and one of the most diverse seaports in the United States; also one of the top three cruise ports in the world, and among the most active containerized cargo ports in the United States.
The designer campus’s premier Florida location is only 17 minutes south of Boca Raton in Palm Beach County, 45 minutes south of the city of Palm Beach, 20 minutes from Miami and 90 minutes east of Naples by car.
Businesses, big and small, are increasingly choosing to locate and expand in the Broward County region of Florida which are all positive indicators that Florida's local economy is strong, stable and expanding.
The MIBTC at DCOTA is a new and great opportunity to promote trade and business between the United States and Britain. Such alliances will help build and promote British brands and business in the coming years after Brexit, where large markets with luxury needs such as the USA, Caribbean and Latin America can be accessed.
